In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Dr. Christian Komor.

Dr. Christian talks to us about staying motivated when outcomes are long-term and complex

Dr. Christian Komor is an Earth Systems Science advisor, clinical psychologist, author, educator, and candidate for Governor of Colorado. His career has been shaped by solving complex human and systemic challenges in environments where outcomes matter.

Dr. Komor has led a multidisciplinary clinical practice, managing budgets, building teams, and overseeing the design and construction of a major office complex. He also spent five years working inside the nation’s largest and oldest walled maximum-security prison, where he gained first-hand insight into institutionalisation and the challenges of creating meaningful reform within entrenched systems.

His leadership experience also includes service with three Sheriff’s Departments as a Search and Rescue officer, as well as serving as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol. These roles gave him extensive experience in crisis response, operational leadership, and high-pressure decision-making.

Since 1982, Dr. Komor has authored 26 books and taught large groups of professionals in more than 100 cities. He brings a distinctive combination of clinical expertise, scientific thinking, institutional experience, and practical leadership to his work in public service.
