In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Health and Nutrition Coach Karen Sammer.

Karen talks to us about the importance of looking after our hearts as entrepreneurs.

Karen Sammer is a ten+ year breast cancer survivor and a three+ year spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) heart attack survivor.

In 2010, after dealing with breast cancer and the effects of chemo and radiation, she decided to take control of her health. In the process of making significant lifestyle changes and losing 135 pounds, she found her passion in learning about health and nutrition.

Karen is also a WomenHeart Champion Community Educator. She has been trained by the Mayo Clinic to share her heart story and important messages about heart health to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

She is retired from her corporate job as Director, Tax Audits and now makes her living as a health and nutrition coach. She works with women who are living with or are at risk for developing heart disease or other chronic illness that can be managed through lifestyle and nutrition changes.
